Vaccinations & Testing
For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, all guests must be fully vaccinated and provide a negative viral COVID-19 test result taken within the 2 days before sailing. If you’re required to take a test before you return to your home country, we’ll provide one for you at no charge.
Onboard Experience
On Board Our Ships
All staterooms and public areas are frequently and thoroughly sanitized with medical-grade disinfectant proven to kill coronaviruses. Hand-washing stations and hand sanitizer dispensers are available throughout every ship.
Enhanced Air Filtration
We have enhanced the air-handling systems on board all ships using a combination of increased circulation of fresh air together with upgraded air filtration.
24/7 Medical Care
Every ship has a team of experienced doctors and nurses trained to manage a broad range of medical conditions, including COVID-19. Our award-winning onboard medical centers are fully equipped with testing and treatment capabilities if needed.
Mask Policy
All guests regardless of age will be required to wear face masks at all times in elevators and in all indoor areas of the ship, except when eating or drinking or in their own staterooms. This includes wearing face masks prior to being seated in all dining venues and Lido Market, while dancing in public lounges, and outdoors if in large gatherings and physical distancing cannot be maintained.
As a reminder, masks are required during embark and debark in the terminal, and masks should also be worn during the debarkation process on board.
As advised by health authorities, guests are recommended to use higher-grade masks indoors (such as surgical or KN95) that have two or more layers, completely cover the nose and mouth, fit snugly against the sides of the face and have a nose wire.

Keeping you safe on shore is one of our highest priorities. All ports welcome Holland America Line shore excursions and while some ports allow independent tours and self-exploration, others may require a shore excursion provided by Holland America Line to go ashore. Throughout your cruise, we constantly review all local health and safety guidelines to keep you informed and ready to explore safely.

Our Worry-Free Promise, including the COVID-19 Protection Program, gives you complete flexibility and peace of mind. You can change your travel plans if needed and enjoy cruise protection before and during your journey if you or someone in your party is no longer able to travel, is denied boarding or needs to disembark early.
